District of Columbia

Software, AI & cloud
development in Washington.

We build custom software, AI systems, and cloud infrastructure for Washington companies. We are a remote-first studio, so we work with District of Columbia businesses the same way we work with clients anywhere in the US.

[ The Washington market ]

Washington is the seat of the federal government, and everything in the city's economy radiates from that fact: agencies and their program offices, the contracting industry that delivers for them, the law firms and lobbying shops on K Street, think tanks, international institutions including the World Bank and IMF, and one of the country's densest concentrations of trade associations and nonprofits. Around that institutional core runs a real consumer city of restaurants, services, and neighborhood businesses serving a highly educated metro population.

Software in Washington is built for scrutiny. Contractors and consultancies need internal platforms and client deliverables that satisfy federal security and documentation expectations. Associations and nonprofits need member systems, advocacy tools, and event platforms that carry national operations. Mission-driven organizations need technology that stretches constrained budgets. And the city's service businesses need the same booking, dispatch, and customer tooling as their counterparts anywhere, delivered to a demanding clientele.

This is home for Init One Solutions. The studio is based in the Washington, DC area and works remote-first nationwide, but DC engagements come with what remote-only firms cannot offer here: we can be in the room, and we know how this town works.

[ Working with us from Washington ]

Are you actually local to Washington, DC?

Yes. Init One Solutions is based in the Washington, DC area. We deliver remote-first because it is faster and better documented, but for DC clients we meet in person for kickoffs, working sessions, and stakeholder briefings whenever it helps. This is our home market, not a territory on a map.

Have you built software for businesses operating in the DC metro?

Yes. We built a multi-service home maintenance platform for KleanCierge, a home-services company serving the Washington, DC metro, unifying cleaning, repairs, lawn care, and pest control under a single booking and dispatch system. The engagement reflects how we work: one operational platform replacing a patchwork of tools.

Can you support a DC organization that works with the federal government?

That describes much of our home market. We build internal platforms, proposal and program tooling, and client-facing systems for government-facing organizations, with the security documentation, access discipline, and accessibility compliance that federal proximity demands. We are equally clear about which formal certifications a given engagement does or does not require, before anyone signs anything.
