North Carolina

Software, AI & cloud
development in Raleigh.

We build custom software, AI systems, and cloud infrastructure for Raleigh companies. We are a remote-first studio, so we work with North Carolina businesses the same way we work with clients anywhere in the US.

[ The Raleigh market ]

Raleigh is North Carolina's capital and one corner of the Research Triangle, the region anchored by NC State University in Raleigh, Duke in Durham, and UNC in Chapel Hill. State government employs a large workforce downtown, while the technology and life sciences companies of the Triangle, many clustered around Research Triangle Park between the cities, give Raleigh a deep pool of engineering and research talent and a steady flow of startups spinning out of the universities.

That mix shapes the software market in a specific way. Companies here are often technical themselves: they do not need a vendor to explain what an API is, they need a partner who can ship production systems while their own people stay focused on core research or product. State agencies and the contractors who serve them need systems built for procurement realities, accessibility requirements, and long maintenance horizons. University spinouts need MVPs built fast without painting the architecture into a corner.

Init One Solutions serves Raleigh remotely from the Washington, DC area, a short flight or a few hours down I-95 when an in-person session is warranted. We work comfortably alongside in-house technical teams, which is the norm in a market this engineering-dense.

[ Working with us from Raleigh ]

We already have engineers in Raleigh. How do you work with an in-house team?

As an extension of it. In the Triangle most of our clients have technical staff, so we slot into your existing repos, code review process, and standups, take ownership of a defined workstream, and hand off with documentation your team can actually maintain. We are comfortable being held to the same standards as your own engineers.

Can you build software for North Carolina state agencies or their contractors?

Yes. With state government concentrated in downtown Raleigh, much of the regional software market runs through public-sector procurement. We build to accessibility standards, document for handoff, and structure cloud environments for the security reviews that state contracts require. We are based in the Washington, DC area, so public-sector delivery expectations are familiar territory.

How does a remote firm stay responsive to a Raleigh client across a long project?

Through structure rather than proximity: a shared roadmap, written weekly updates, demo calls on a fixed cadence, and a single point of contact who knows your project. Raleigh is also an easy trip from our DC-area base, so kickoffs and major milestones can happen in person when that helps.
